Meet Bernard
Chez Bernard is named after Jonathan’s grandfather, Bernard, and the summers spent with him in France around long tables, good food, a glass of wine and the people you love.
Those memories inspired the kind of place we wanted to create here on The Shore: warm, relaxed and made for taking your time.
In French, chez means ‘at the home of’.

Croques and galettes, planchettes of cheese and charcuterie, oysters with lemon and shallot vinegar, and crème brûlée to finish. Made for sharing — or perhaps not.

More than ninety wines in all, from a £5 glass of Ardèche Merlot Syrah to Champagne by the bottle. Carafes at 500ml, for when one glass turns into two.
